Appearance |l1lTallstorm's body structure is like that of a tall, muscular tom; not uncommon for the cats in his clan. His paws are outfitted with large claws that are long but not sharp, and are used for shearing and battering more than incisive cuts. His legs are long, skinny, and rather smooth - they are about the only smooth parts of his body - with small raised welts where previous scars raise above the streamlined fur. His tail is long and has a rather large collection of fur over it.
Moving onto his chest and back. Tallstorm's back is long with a fair amount of scars over it. Surprisingly, most of those scars were gained as a kit - while playing in areas that he should not have been. He is a healthy cat, and it is quite obvious. His belly has more fur than his back, showing that it is still smooth enough that he does not have any other diseases within his skin. This might actually also be an adaptation to the cold winters, or simply a genetic malfunction. Either way, it has so far served him well and has come without problems.
All in all, this cat is both muscular and tall, and his rather furry body does not hinder his fighting skills.l2lThe most noticeable scars on Tallstorm are few, but those that are noticeable are both obvious and sore to touch. As stated earlier, the scars create a raised line above the skin, similar to welts. Due to his furry coat, they are still quite hard to notice.[1]The first scar is a long, narrow scar that runs from Tallstorm's lower left shoulder to the lower section of his front left leg. Slightly puckered, it is raised more on the shoulder than the leg, and really just fades from sight there. It was given to him in one of his first battles.[2]The second scar is a shorter one, one that rips from his back right paw to the 'elbow'. It is not as long as the first one, but it is wider, and small gorges appear on the edge of the scar. This scar is fairly new, and while the wound is fully healed, Tallstorm still feels pain from it whenever he recalls the event of how he gained the scar.[3]The third and final scar is the smallest, but it is also the most noticed. Starting at the left jaw, the scar runs along the jaw, riding closer to the nose. As it reaches the tip of the muzzle, it lessens slightly, making almost no damage on the nose or lips.
Although those are noticeable, there are many other scars that are there for a variety of reasons that are less noticed or have just disappeared over time.
The deformations of Tallstorm are small and few. The tip of his left ear is missing, and farther down, a small incision is made in his ear.|3|As a last thing, Tallstorm's facial features. His face is shapely, with a long muzzle and just as long whiskers. The teeth are large, and are used much more often than his claws. Like most tabbies, the tom has the usual M shape on his forehead. Tallstorm's eyes are a pale green, light and soft. It shifts in shades, depending on the light - like most eyes - but normally is seen in a baby green hue.
Personality |*
Tallstorm is one of the extra loyal cats of the clan."Family are only there for one lifetime. So for my lifetime, all I want to do is protect those who I love and trust. I will even give my life if I have to. I will not kill my family in cold blood nor should I purposefully watch someone die. I promise you."
Those were the exact words given by the tom when he was made a warrior of FogClan. But, Tallstorm knows that all it takes is a single death for that promise to die off. He knew that full well when he said it and he knows it now.
Despite saying such words, Tallstorm will start a fight if someone dares to insult him or anyone else he trusts/loves for that matter. It is one of the reasons that he has so many scars. Even worse, he prefers not to talk - without causing an argument - to others unless he has to, so ignores many people. Otherwise, he will just say a few words and then leave. But, this has got him a bit of a bad reputation with a few cats. They always tease him, saying that he's just trying to be tough; or he's just trying to act cool. Tallstorm knows full well that that's not the cause - he just isn't that sociable. Well, unless it's to argue.
Tallstorm has got a bit of a bad quirk to him. The only reason he likes starting fights is to get stronger - though whether that is to protect his clan or if it is just for his own petty reasons is unknown - but many of the cats often tell him off for being so reckless. Being the type of clan that want as many cats to survive as possible, starting fights only to get stronger definitely is not appropiate.
Still, Tallstorm will obey orders from anyone superior to him, so long as they do not mean anything bad for the clan. There has been times here and there where he has objected and there has also been times where he has just plain refused but most times you will find that he will just nod and accept. Either way, there is no telling if the tom will go through with it or not. His 'justice' turns out to be rather different than a lot of the other cats' ideas.
Tallstorm is more strategic than he looks. When it comes to something that takes a lot of thinking, the tom quite often thinks about it in his own little world. Once he thinks he has everything sorted out, he talks to whoever he deems necessary in private and voices his idea. They aren't always perfect, but it is something to work on, at the very least.
If anything, Tallstorm can not stand braggers. They make him tick more than anything. Although he could easily just ignore them, he has to go off and start an argument - sometimes even a fight - doesn't he? Then again, I suppose getting ticked is better than finding out about his fear. I will give you a clue. They are small and big and very crawly. They have eight legs. They make cobwebs. They can also be called--Oh, never mind all that. Tallstorm is afraid of spiders. That is basically it. If he sees a spider, he will scream like a girl. Thankfully, you do not find spiders anywhere near FogClan camp that often, so there is only a couple of cats that know about his fear. ...Now.
*A lot of his personality is explained in History.
Skills |The good thing about Tallstorm is that his love of fighting makes him train much more often then most. As such, his skill at fighting and his reflexes are hard to match. The tom's sense of smell is also good - it makes up for his sight, which is not entirely...as good as any of the others. Tallstorm's ears aren't perfect either, simply because his left one is ripped. Actually, Tallstorm is deaf in his left ear. Thankfully, his right one works, so he has something to work with.
History |Tallstorm was originally born into FogClan. The tom's mother, Birchfoot, never originally was a clan cat. She used to be a loner. But, before that she was definitely a clan cat, just not of FogClan. She was originally a part of PineClan, but while she was still an apprentice, one of her sisters had dared her to go out into the forest on her own. Eventually, she got truly and utterly lost. The she-cat was lucky enough to have had enough training to find some decent prey, but, over time, she became forgotten about. Her mother, Cranefur, never did forget about her, but eventually, the clan called Birchfoot, well, Birchpaw dead. Cranefur was devestated, but she eventually moved on with life and took care of the rest of her kits. While lost, however, Birchpaw stumbled upon a strange ranch of some sort. It was a twoleg ranch, if you wish to be precise, but not something that was familiar to Birchpaw. There, she met Ilo - now known as Nightfur.
Ilo was around the same age as Birchpaw - although, he still had his parents. After talking with Birchpaw for a few moons, the two eventually starting forming a bond with each other, unlike anything they had felt before. Eventually, they realised that it was indeed love. It turned out to be rather complicated. They wanted to have kits, but Ilo's parents forbid it. Finally, they made the decision to run away from the ranch when, one day, they stumbled upon FogClan territory. They never realised that they were on a clan's territory at all. But, they were certainly attacked by a patrol.
After being taken to the camp, they explained their situation and were taken in by FogClan. There, they were given the names Nightfur and Birchfoot - Birchfoot had told them about her previous name, Birchpaw. A few moons later, Birchfoot became a queen. She gave birth to a one kit. A kit who was rather tall for his age. So, if you never guessed, he was named Tallkit. Yes, that was indeed Tallstorm. As a kit, Tallstorm had a very bright personality and loved talking to the others and playing about. Optimistic and clumsy, he certainly created a character that would've been up for a lot of trouble.
Life went by, and Tallkit became an apprentice - Tallpaw. Enthusiastic, he quite often got tired easily, which was a massive problem for his mentor. Tallpaw began watching his father train on his own. He began to envy his father and finally vowed to himself that he would become as strong as his father.
Finally, one day, another kit was born. Thornkit - Tallpaw's brother. Thornkit looked a lot like Tallpaw when he was still a kitten, but there was one difference - he was not as tall. How Thornkit got his name was unfortunate. When Thornkit was born, Birchfoot had accidentally dropped him into a thorn bush, causing a lot of pain to the young tom. Thankfully, he healed, but Birchfoot felt a lot of guilt after that incident. Tallpaw did his best to cheer his mother up, but even after Birchfoot said she was happier, the tom could tell that she still was not back to her usual self.
Another couple of moons later, Birchfoot had went out into the forest for an unknown reason. Tallpaw followed, curious to see what she was doing. That only ended in his whole personality change.
A badger had been wandering around and it was unfortunate that Birchfoot had chosen to go out at that moment. The badger attacked her, clawing her and biting her. Tallpaw did not know what to do, so he went back to camp to get help - but by the time they made it back, it was too late. Birchfoot was already badly injured and by the time the other warriors scared the badger off, she could hardly breathe. There was not enough time to make it back to camp. All Tallpaw could do was walk over to her in utter shock."Tallpaw...You have a wonderful personality...Do not lose that wonderful shine of yours. Remember that always - I will love you. Do not forget that."
That time was the last time he cried. Tears could only fly out of his eyes as he screamed his heart out. That day made him lose everything. His positive personality, his tears and his mother. Tallpaw eventually became Tallstorm and that one loss made him say that one promise. That one promise changed how a lot of the clan looked at him and also how he looked at himself.""Family are only there for one lifetime. So for my lifetime, all I want to do is protect those who I love and trust. I will even give my life if I have to. I will not kill my family in cold blood nor should I purposefully watch someone die. I promise you."
