Beliefs:
Though she comes from loner origins, Nightheart has a strong belief in StarClan. She came to MeadowClan at a young age, and the general belief of the cats around her fostered a similar belief in her. Because of their belief, she believed. She has never actually questioned if they really do exist, instead believing in them unthinkingly and wholeheartedly. She will blindly defend them if their powers are questioned and believes in their presence and power in Clan life. Nightheart believes that StarClan is needed in order for the Clans to function, and can't understand how PineClan has survived for so long without them. Though FogClan reveres StarClan strongly, she feels no special feelings towards them. Your belief in StarClan does not shape your personality or character, only how you function in life.

Appearance:
Nightheart is a wiry, lithe black she-cat with emerald green eyes. She has no markings anywhere on her pitch black pelt, which draws instant attention to her green eyes. They are the only brightness about her pelt. She is lightly muscled and more flexible and agile than strong. Her claws are blunt from the digging that she, like a true MeadowClanner, conducts in daily life, so has come to rely more on her fangs than her claws. Her flexibility aids with the strikes required to use her fangs effectively in combat. She has a long tail, good for balancing, though she hardly ever has to balance. Being a burrower, her claws are not sharp enough for climbing, and while her lack of muscle is an advantage in body weight it is a disadvantage in actually pulling herself up tree trunks.
Being a young cat, her pelt is unmarked. It is thick and glossy, a pelt any she-cat would envy. Nightheart doesn't really groom herself though, and it is not a rare sight to see dried dirt staining her ebony black pelt a dusty dark brown, with dirt caked up in her claws from her burrowing. The only reason Nightheart may look actually clean sometimes is from her running. Running loosens and gets rid of the dirt settled in her pelt and between her claws. Nightheart has long legs, which she often puts to use in burrowing or in her running. Her paws are broad, excellent for gripping things and for shoveling dirt out of her way. Her face is pure black and in perfect balance with the rest of her body, not too small and not too big. Her whiskers are of average size, as are her ears. Her nose is black as well.
Personality:
Nightheart is not a very verbal she-cat. She says only what she has to say and leaves it at that. When she does say something, it is never meant to offend or anger. Nightheart doesn't like conflict; it makes her feel fragile, unstable, and helpless. If things are peaceful, Nightheart is a quiet she-cat who can function like a normal cat would. But if there is conflict and war, she becomes quite nasty. She'll snap at other cats and say things she'll regret, and when she comes out of her mood she'll be too embarrassed to say sorry. Because of her young age cats attribute this to her immaturity and inexperience, and they are right. As time passes Nightheart will learn to live with the conflict and deal with it more effectively.
The most standout characteristic of Nightheart is her love of running. When she runs, the world seems to fall away, and all she knows is the beating of her heart and the feeling of muscles working together to carry her across the forest at whatever pace she desires. For her whole life, running has been her medicine to all of her fears. It makes her problems seem smaller and more manageable. Because she does it so often, it has become her greatest strength. As well as running, Nightheart learned as a MeadowClan apprentice how to burrow. She rarely uses this skill, however, as she prefers to just run. She is rather impatient, so standing in one place just to create a burrow is too time consuming for her. Once again, her immaturity shows through her impatience. Though she will mature one day, her impatience will probably remain.
Nightheart thinks for herself and, when given the opportunity, thinks deeply. When she forms an opinion of something, she will stay to that opinion. But in order to avoid conflict, she will not express her opinions to the crowd if they see things from a different perspective. Instead, she will follow along, as its the only way to maintain her mental state. Even if it seems she agrees, she may not; her obedience may only be to avoid conflict at any cost. Due to her lack of persuasion and strong will, she would make a poor leader. She is a meek follower of the crowd who struggles to maintain a peaceful inner mind.
Skills:
Nightheart is a fast she-cat who can run without stopping for long periods of time. This is because of her love of running, which has fostered her fitness in that department. It has also given her excellent endurance, allowing her to continue tirelessly with a physical challenge. This aids her in hunting, as she can run her prey down if she has to or catch them quickly with her blinding speed. In battle, she can continue for a long time if evenly matched with an opponent due to her aerobic endurance. Her actual fighting skills are of the average cat. Because Nightheart loves speed so much, she'll often go out at night to run and hunt. Her solid black pelt makes her a skilled night hunter, a valuable cat to have in any Clan. Not many cats can hunt as well as she can at night, but Nightheart has honed this skill to perfection.
Nightheart is not as skilled as her Clanmates when it comes to digging burrows. She doesn't have the patience for it and regards it as a waste of energy at times when she could be doing other things instead, like running or hunting. As she gets older she may foster the patience to become better at it and even appreciate it, but currently her youthful energy begs for movement at all times.
History:
Nightheart doesn't remember much about her life outside of MeadowClan, except for the names of her parents. She joined MeadowClan at four moons, as her parents had left her behind on MeadowClan territory for no reason she knows. Perhaps they were going on a long journey and she wouldn't have been able to keep up, or perhaps they desired a more stable life for their daughter in the Clans? Whatever the reason, Nightheart is happy with her existence in MeadowClan. She has learned well from her Clanmates and behaves as though she was a Clanborn cat. Though rejected by a couple cats when she first joined due to her loner origins, there are so many loners joining the Clans these days that their negative attitudes faded.
The little kit was named Nightkit for her night-black pelt and spent her kithood learning how to be a Clan cat. At six moons she was apprenticed to the experienced warrior Foxpelt, who furthered her education on the Clans and taught her how to be a warrior. Nightpaw fostered her love of running from this tom, and ran often. The warrior taught her how to use her speed and the endurance she gained from her running in battle. He made her a warrior who was well developed in her strengths, and average in her weaknesses. Unfortunately, what Foxpelt did not teach her was how to deal with stress. Due to this, Nightpaw developed a rather bad way of dealing with it; by running with the wind and breaking apart. Perhaps it was the fact that she couldn't bear seeing her Clanmates stay so calm during a crisis; perhaps she viewed this as crazy, impossible. How could you stay so calm when things so serious were occurring? Her disbelief led to her ineffective and often mentally destructive way of running away from stress.
She was named a warrior at the average age of twelve moons. Her suffix Heart was given for her passionate love of running and her youthful energy. The three moons since she has been made a warrior were uneventful; she settled in to her new rank, and that's about it. The tension with Miststar as leader of FogClan has not yet gotten to her with all that it entails. As time passes she will mature and maybe discover a new way to deal with stress, as the forest becomes entwined in the many events to come.
