Wow! I can't believe it. If you'd told me we'd be here a year, I'd have giggled slightly. And we've been here longer than a year.
~ HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY FOF ~
Yes. It's been 2 whole years. Pretty good for a site I was pretty dead sure would come to nothing.
Hold your fire! Please don't shoot me ;_;. It was nothing personal. I was just... cynical. Out of all the the proboards made every month, such a small small percentage even reach a few months, I figured FoF was gonna be short lived. Fun for a while, a little place for a small group of friends to let off some steam now and again. Nothing massive.
Good gosh, how wrong was I?
FoF is magical. It seemed to hit a chord with people. New people would pop up, and just like that they became members and friends. Family even. We grew at an alarming rate. By the first 6 months, the site had defied my expectations and I quite literally had to pick my jaw off the floor. And what's even more amazing is that we didn't just become sizable, we became a genuinely nice place to rp in.
FoF astounds me with it's constantly warm, constructive atmosphere. Everyone is so willing to improve, so happy just to have fun and a giggle, it's quite wonderful. The cats here... some of them make me immensely jealous. The plots could, quite seriously, rival some fiction books out there (and you should all know I don't make these sorts of compliments lightly by now). Soon, FoF became much more than just a group of admins and a cat roleplay. It became a community.
I've certainly had so much fun over these past two years, and I much hope that it's been the same for you too : ) We've had our difficulties now and then, as all sites do, but we've always bounced back. We've all proven time and time again that you can't keep a good site down! And I adore it!
So, in short, I <3 you FoF and all the FoFers who made it possible, past and current!
Here's to another year of epicness!
