Owlstar Auditions

Owlstar, although no longer technically considered a 'ranking', is a cat of great importance on FoF. Former leader of Fogclan, she has been ousted from her position by Mistpelt, on grounds of being 'tainted' and lazy, and she is outcast with a band of followers. Owlstar is a very interesting character, with a history and roleplay potential like no other cat on the site. However, through various circumstances, she has been inactive for some time now. Now, the admins want to revive her and her role, both because she's to interesting to remain unplayed and because she may have a hand in the Fogclan plot in future.

Fancy taking her on?

Well, because Owlstar has such an important role in things, and may potentially be leader again in the future, the procedure is slightly tougher than it is for normal cats. Therefore, we'd like any applicants to fill out this form and complete a short pre-rp.

(This is the most important bit of the application. Here we would like [i]at least 200 words[/i] on what you plan to do with Owlstar as a character. What take will you have on the role? Will Owlstar flourish or crumble under the pressure of leading her group? Will she get weaker or stronger as she goes along? Will she be able to trust other cats after Miststar's treachery? What is her position on the current proceedings, how will she deal with it and, looking into the future, how will the events change/effect her? We're looking for a unique and BOLD take on the character, and some idea of the direction you wish to take with her)

PART TWO:
In addition to this, you are required to take on a short pre-rp, playing Owlstar, of 2 posts. The first will be a universal prompt given to all applicants, which you must reply to with Owlstar to the best of your ability. The second post will reply to you and what you have written uniquely, depending on what you have written. You will be required to reply to this second post appropriately, and then your pre-rp will be complete.

When you have posted the first part of the application, the admins will start a thread for you in the pre-rp boards, marked with your name, for you to complete this second part.

i try to check in at least once a day, even if i don't log in or post on the cbox. i've been a bit busy with school and such.

Why do you want Owlstar? -
I think we all know this one for me, but... Being the one that made Owlstar, I've wanted her back since I came back so this is, like, the perfect opportunity for me to prove that I can play her as well as anyone else. I want owlstar because I play her brother and that plot needs to take off again (back when i had them both) and I want her to just be back out there so she can redeem herself by rubbing Mistpelt's face in the dirt.

What will you do with Owlstar? -
I am going to build Owlstar back into the character that I originally intended her to be. The proud, strong, somewhat vindictive she-cat that I fell in love with. She is going to whip her followers into shape in order to take FogClan back and restore order to FogClan the rightful way. Of course she won't want to attack her own Clanmates, but the fact that a select few of them betrayed her will not cause her to hold back. If she returns, this is where her vindictive side will shine out over all of her other qualities. If she does not drive the Mistpelt followers away, she will make sure they never forget what they did to her or their Clan.
I think that she can only become better and stronger the more she is played, but I will not force her back into FogClan before she or her followers are ready. Owlstar was never intended to be a stupid or fool-hardy cat. She is meant to be analytical and never under- or over-estimate her competition, but she occasionally does when she gets really full of herself and cocky (which is totally possible for her, despite what she lets on).
But probably the sub-header of what I want with Owlstar (under re-establish her as FogClan leader) is to reunite her, someday, with her brother Doppelganger. That was probably one of the main points in her history that I made sure to go into detail about, was how close the two of them were and then she betrayed him, causing him to leave ForestClan and become a loner. Both Owlstar and Doppelganger's pasts are so intertwined that it doesn't feel right to have one played and not the other.
