Name | Lionstorm
Gender | She-cat
Age | 35 moons
Rank | Warrior
Clan | MeadowClan
Beliefs| StarClan is largely a pretty dream to this she-cat. I mean really, starry cats in the sky with magical powers? Come on and grow up. Lionstorm is amazed that anycat could believe this kind of ridiculous drivel, and even more so that she believed it at one time too. It didn't take long for life to teach her a lesson -- even if there were starry cats up there, they quite obviously didn't give a damn about her or the cats she cared about. Her actions towards believers are most often contempt and derision, and she has most certainly got an admiration for PineClan, but something stops her from going all the way and joining them. Throughout her short but hard life, she has clung to the tiny belief that maybe, just maybe, there might be some sort of afterlife. Although she thinks it improbable, nay, impossible that such a thing exists, an eternity of peace, quiet, and being able to spend time with her lost loved ones greatly appeals to her. She almost hates herself for believing such a stupid thing, thinking that it's weak to have to rely on something that can't even be proven to exist, but she can't shake the idea, can't shake that minute bit of hope that there's something better waiting for her when she dies. Even with this hope, StarClan is still not likely to be something she begins to believe in ever again.

Appearance | Lionstorm's most obvious quality is her fur color, of course. It is a pale ginger with slightly darker stripes, giving her her name. Her fur itself is quite long and fluffy, although she neglects it and lets it get matted and dirty -- it has an almost magnetic quality when it comes to leaves, sticks, and grime. It certainly helps in the winter, but drives her half insane when the weather starts to heat up. The next most notable thing about Lionstorm is her size -- she is huge, bigger than most other she-cats and a good number of toms. Her legs are long with big paws to match, which means equally large claws. All this plus her strength helps tip the scales in the fights that 'mysteriously' seem to happen almost wherever she goes. Her eyes are an icy blue and have a somewhat piercing quality.
Personality | It soon becomes obvious to anyone who knows Lionstorm even in passing that she wears her anger like a second pelt. She lashes out at anyone or anything that frustrates her, with sharp, snarling words or sharper claws. The anger is always there, always just beneath the surface, waiting for the slightest thing to break the fragile dams that hold its dangerous waters back. It could be anything; a rabbit that got away, bad weather, or just a cat that did something to get on her nerves. Her constant anger is directed at anyone and anything - she blames the world for her parents' death and she isn't likely to let it forget.
When she hasn't gotten to the boiling of point of getting violent yet, she tends to be scathingly sarcastic, generally decreasing her popularity. Even when she's not flipping out she's not pleasant - however she won't go looking for a fight without good reason. This doesn't mean much, though. Most of the time she claims that the other cat brought the fight to her.
Despite all this, she does retain a grudging sense of honor. She doesn't like bullies (even though she can look like one in a bad light) and will stick up for the underdog in an argument or fight, generally against her better judgement.
Lionstorm's one weakness, the one thing that can get her to open up, is kits. She absolutely goes to pieces over the little balls of fluff and will drop everything to oo and aw over them. This is partly because her own kithood wasn't exactly what you'd call happy; she doesn't want that to happen to any other kits and so will protect them with her life. There's also the fact that kits are so darn cute.
Lionstorm curses like a sailor and will do so to whomever she wishes, regardless of how high up they are - she has very little respect for authority, having lived most of her life away from a clan.
Were she to have a friend, she would be unfailingly loyal to them. Whenever there is someone she cares about, she is incredibly protective of them to the point of being even a little clingy. Every person in her life that she's cared about so far has died or vanished without a trace - she's not about to let that happen again, at whatever cost.
However, a friend is not something that's likely to happen to her. Her parents' deaths and sister's disappearance have left her angry at basically everything due to the lack of one person to blame, but it isn't just that. Lionstorm is secretly terrified of anyone getting close to her because she believes that as soon as she starts to care about someone they'll leave her. To stop anyone from getting near her she has set up her mask of anger and rudeness. Some of it is real, obviously, and her base traits are still there, but to most people she acts like a caricature of who she really is.
Skills | Lionstorm isn't great at hunting because she doesn't really have the patience. Plus, with her large build, she's not very good at sneaking around and stalking things. She's more built for fighting, though she's not really that great at this either. She's more likely to use brute force instead of skill and cunning; however, with her size this tends to work.
History | Lionstorm's family started out as rogues - the first thing she knew was living out in the woods, playing with her sister Hawk-kit. They were the best of friends, making up all sorts of crazy games and telling each other everything. The family lived quite happily for five moons until disaster struck.
They had set up camp for a day or two in a clearing and were relaxing for a little in the sun. Hawk had wandered off a little ways, but Jay and Fire decided to let her. The little brown she-cat was so curious about everything and already very responsible. Lion had started to follow, but got bored when she saw that all her sister was doing was looking at some bugs. She had just made it back to her parents when they all heard Hawk's frantic shrieking. They rushed back just in time to see her being stuffed in a cage by a pair of twolegs. There was nothing they could do - Fire grabbed Lion by the scruff of the neck, trying desperately to silence her screaming.
Lion could do nothing for several days but stare off into the distance in shock. She'd lost her sister, her best and only friend and she was probably never going to see her again. Jay and Fire were as horrified, if not more than Lion, but they had to pull themselves together. They decided that the best plan for all of them was to move into the nearest clan, ForestClan - maybe there things wouldn't be so dangerous.
Lion became Lionpaw and her parents became warriors, but it didn't last long. Jayclaw was killed by a monster when passing a thunderpath and Firefur, his grief making him careless, was ripped to shreds by a fox just a few days later. Lionpaw was left without a single relative in the world, alone in a clan that was quickly falling apart. Still, she kept at her warrior training as best she could, despite her mentor's incompetence and the tension in the clan that was growing worse by the day.
One day, Lionpaw decided she'd had enough; even she could see that ForestClan was corrupt and that there was no future staying here. She left that night without even a glance back.
She went back to being Lion, living on her own, scraping by as best she could and trying to teach herself to hunt and fight. This went on for some time until another loner passed on the news that four clans had formed in the area and were looking for cats to join. Lion decided that it couldn't be any worse than living totally alone, barely getting by, and being chased off of other cats' territories, so she joined MeadowClan and decided to stay.
