Why do cats not want to go there? Is there something bad about it?
Yes, it's not StarClan, but it that the only thing going against it? That it's not something else?

It's true... Cats in PineClan would be very happy there, yet the cats that know of this place view it as Hell.

"yet the cats that know of this place" -- Don't PineClan cats know of it?
"view it as Hell" -- Why? Is the Dark Forest unpleasant somehow?

Perhaps the Dark Forest is, not exactly the polar opposite of Starclan, but something else? Perhaps it's not bad, but it's not good either. Maybe it's a place that you could call "Limbo". There is no prey, no life, and it's always dark. A few years enduring something like that can make a anyone go crazy. Maybe that's what makes it so bad.
...And that's all I got.

"There is no prey, no life, and it's always dark." -- Would you need prey if you're dead? That is, would cats in the Dark Forest experience hunger?
"A few years enduring something like that can make a anyone go crazy." -- I have a hard time taking this as a valid point since below your avatar it says, “You say insane like it's a bad thing."
Still, do you mean insane as in not sane, or insane as in horrible mental torment?

I think that the clans fear the Dark Forest because that is supposedly where the sould of evil cats go. I mean, Tigerclaw, Darkstripe, and Hawkfrost went there, though there is no reason to suggest that any of them did not believe in StarClan.
Perhaps it is the fear of the unknown. I mean, they have a direct link with StarClan through their medicine cats. StarClan is like the pleasant version of the afterlife.
It might have something to do with the solitude that comes in the Dark Forest. The Clans are all made up of social cats, to my way of thinking, since they chose to live in a group of a bunch of other cats. Maybe they dislike the idea of being alone and never seeing another cat after they die wheras in StarClan you see other cats all the time.
I really don't know. It's thought-provoknig. To be honest, I'd never really thought about it before now.

"Can cats there do anything evil to other cats?" -- I don't know. I mean, I believe that living cats can still be affected by cats in the Dark Forest, but doing evil things to each other? I don't see the point. They're all dead.
"Cats in the Dark Forest can't see other cats in the Dark Forest?" -- From what I've read in the books, it isn't a very common occurance.

"living cats can still be affected by cats in the Dark Forest" -- They can? How?
"From what I've read in the books, it isn't a very common occurance." -- Meaning that it has happened a few times? Or meaning that it hasn't happened that the books have shown, but no one said it couldn't?

"Would you need prey if you're dead? That is, would cats in the Dark Forest experience hunger?" --- I thought Starclan had prey in their place. >.> I remember somewhere in some of the books-- I think, anyways-- that a Starclanner was hunting. e.e But I could be wrong. I guess feeling hunger could be a punishment of some sort for those who have done wrong. But then wouldn't some other cats go there, too? Some better behaved cats? Hurr hurr. Nevermind about the reason for the hunger. It backfired. xD Good cats can do wrong, too. Not on the extreme levels of others, but still wrong... So it wouldn't exactly be fair if others went to the Dark Forest... dsfhsfkdsf... or it could be fair in some opinions... GAAH. Does it matter on opinion of Starclan to where you go? Not logic or thinking about what you've done? Gsdfsdfksdf-- sorry. My mind is in a toss atm. ^^; I'm not sure if some of this made any sense... >.>;; "I have a hard time taking this as a valid point since below your avatar it says, “You say insane like it's a bad thing." Still, do you mean insane as in not sane, or insane as in horrible mental torment?" --- Horrible mental torment, maybe. But that seems... so unStarclan like for them to do. But then again, Starclan is as goody-two-shoes as they let on. They, when they had been alive, done some bad things too... HOLD ON. o.o How come Starclan is made up of some cats that have broken the warrior code or other things? D: It doesn't make sense. Then what exactly is the Dark Forest? ;_; Is the Dark Forest the real Starclan? Glskdfsdffft-- nvm. Stupid question. And "You say insane like it's a bad thing"... does it need clearing up? xD; If it does, you'll have to let me think about it before I actually do that. I don't really understand it myself. ? -shot-
