I'm indecisive as well.
I don't want to be all "Yes, everyone needs a gun! D< -hickface- Ya gotta protect yerself! God blezz Amurrica! -flagwave-" but I also don't want to be like "No, guns are bad! D< -hippieface- Peace, yo. -dilated eyes-"
I'm a little on the the yes side, though. But not sure.
It could help them protect the passengers...
but the pilot could also get mad and go off on someone. Okay, that's not likely.
I think I'm a tentative yes. Ha, pun.
I think they should only be allowed to have them not in an airplane. If they have them in an airplane and danger strikes, it would be all too easy to blast a hole in the side of the plane.

I just consulted with my father, who has a flying license. Unless you hit some wires or the windshield, it'd take maybe ten or twenty bullet holes to cause a problem.
