Stormclaw The gray tom sniffed the air. They were in a different part of the territory from where he had fought the badger, thank StarClan. Palepaw and Rabbitstep were with him, they were on a hunting patrol. No cat had scented anything yet, but they had only just started the patrol, and he could be patient. He padded forward, tail upward and large ears alert for any sounds of prey. Palepaw This hunting patrol was all very well, but why did she need ot tag behind the warriors? She felt like letting loose and rushing ahead to better be able to scent all the enticing prey-smells. She wished they were in the forest part of MeadowClan's territory. She always seemed to feel clamer there. Suddenly, she spotted a butterfly a foxlength off. She tried to look away, but it was too tempting. She ran towards it before rearing back on her hindlegs and batting a paw at it. The fragile insect fluttered away, unharmed byt the apprentice's clumsy display. Giggling, Palepaw padded back to the warriors.

ooc; Sorry I didn't reply yesterday. ^^;;
Rabbitstep padded along beside Stormclaw, drinking in the scents of MeadowClan's territory. The hunting patrol was going pretty well so far, even if they haven't caught any prey. He calmly padded forward until he head thumping of running paws from right behind him. Turning his yellow green gaze around, he spotted Palepaw batting a butterfly. Flicking his ears and hissing, Rabbitstep turned his head back around sharply.
Hunting patrols were not for playing.

Ooc: Iss okay Hardehleg. X3 Stormclaw The gray tom sighed gently as the spotted apprentice suddenly dahsed after a butterfly. He was slightly annoyed; after all, they weren't her to goof off. But still, he could understand the attraction of racing through the territory, and besides, it was what apprentices did. He shouldn't begrudge her this small pleasure. As she came back, giggling, the Russian Blue gently intoned "I understand your excitement, Palepaw, but we need to focus on catching prey. After all, Cedarstar trusts us to help feed the Clan." Speaking of prey....the MeadowClan tom opened his mouth slightly to better identify the surrounding scents. He could scent grass, clover, thistle...mouse, was it? No, vole. And it was coming from that bush. Dropping into a slink, he stealthily crept towards the source of the appetizing scent. Palepaw The light-pelted apprentice fluffed her tail out and hunched her shoulders as Rabbitstep swung his head around to face her. What was his problem, for StarClan's sake? What was wrong with having a little bit of fun? She averted her eyes to hide her annoyed expression. If he said anything patronizing, she'd juts ignore it. She was good at that.

Rabbitstep froze when Stormclaw dropped into a crouch. He didn't want to ruin his clanmate's catch, after all. He opened his month to found out what the warrior was stalking, and smelled the sent of vole.
But anger soon sparked from him as he saw Palepaw fluff out her fur at his own annoyance of her batting a butterfly. The she-cat wasn't meeting his gaze, but it was obvious Palepaw was angry at her. Rabbitstep lashed his tail and, too late he realized, hit a bush, making enough noise to scare off Stormclaw's vole. Guilt soon hit him as he realized he might have ruined the first catch of for the patrol.
ooc; It was lame. D| Sorry.

Ooc: Notrly. I've written much lamer, don't worry. Stormclaw Stormclaw had just crept two pawsteps closer to his prey when the bushes suddenly rustled. He froze, hoping it wouldn't scare off the small rodent. The vole stiffened at the noise, sniffing the air, and moving its head around. Suddenly, it shot out of the bushes in the patrol's direction. Sormclaw felt a rush of hope. Would one of them be able to catch it? Palepaw Palepaw was rather annoyed, at the moment. This dumb tom was acting like she'd killed his mate, or something. She stifled a snort at the thought of Dappledflower. The silly she-cat was the vainest creature she'd ever met. She snorted and stared him down defiantly.

ooc; Palepaw is going to get it. D|
Rabbitstep opened his mouth to hiss some warning to Palepaw when a vole ran right past his paw, bring him back to reality. He shot out after the vole, only to see it dive into a burrow. More guilt hit him; if he had been paying attention to Stormclaw he would have saw it and been able to catch it. Rabbitstep padded back just in time to hear the apprentice snort and stare at him. The vole was soon forgotten and as fury filled his mind. "Problem?" The warrior asked, letting the tip of tail flick back and forth.

OOc: I know. x3 Stormclaw Stormclaw sighed as he shook his pelt off and padded out from the bushes. He'd heard someone-Rabbitstep by the sound of it-shoot after the vole, but he didn't know if they'd caught it or not. He saw Rabbitstep and Palepaw almost nose-to-nose, looking as though they might leap on each other at any moment. Something told him he might want to intervene. Intentionally stepping inbetween his two Clanmates, he said "I don't know what's going on with you two, but we really need to catch some prey here. Let's split up and meet back here when the sun has moved another mouselength." Stormclaw thanked StarClan that the soution of splitting up had come to him. Not only would it help them hopefully find more prey, it would give Rabbitstep and Palepaw a chance to cool down a bit. Having said this, the gray tom padded off west, hoping to find some prey. Palepaw Now that Rabbitstep was face-to-face with her, Palepaw found herself feeling a bit less cocky and more like her timid self. His green eyes were boring into her as he asked if there was a problem. All that the bravado-deserted apprentice was stutter and shuffle her paws. She thanked StarClan profusely when Stormclaw came to her rescue, suggesting that they split up. Anything to get away from this badger-tempered tom. Palepaw shot off towards the woods almost before Stormclaw had finished speaking, relieved to get away.

ooc; Rabbitstep has yellow-green eyes. :P
"I don't know what's going on with you two, but we really need to catch some prey here. Let's split up and meet back here when the sun has moved another mouselength."
"Alright. We will meet back here." Rabbitstep called after Stormclaw as he padded away. Turning to give Palepaw one last look before heading off himself, the warrior found that she had bolted, meaning she would not know to meet here.
Meaning he would have to go tell her.
Rabbitstep huffed, heading towards her scent into the woods. "Palepaw?" the tabby called, hoping to get an answer from the she-cat.
ooc; That was bad. e-e

OOc: Sorry my stuff is so bad. XP Stormclaw The Russian Blue had gone about seven foxlengths when he suddenly caught a scent through his slightly open jaws. Rabbit! The scent seemed to be coming from about five tail-lengths away. Stormclaw cautiously padded toward what seemed to be a burrow. The enticing scent of rabbit was wafting from the small hole. Stromclaw now faced a problem; should he wait for the rabbit to come out, or attempt to get in and catch it? He chose the first option, stationing himself outside the den behind a clump of tall grass. His patience was rewarded about 25 minutes later when a small brown rabbit hopped out of the burrow and proceeded to nibble on some clover in front of it. Stormclaw, who had been starting to drift off, jerked awake immediately at the fresh smell of rabbit. Gathering his strength into his limbs, he shot out of the clump of grass, sinking his claws into the rabbit's flank before it could bolt down its burrow. Satsified, he began to bury his first catch. Palepaw The spotted gray apprentice slowed down a little when she got to the forest part of MwadowClan territory. She always felt safer here. However, all feelings of security drained out of her when she heard the king of obnoxiousness's voice. She wanted to get out of there as fast as a fleeing hare, but a small voice of reason stopped her. Surely Rabbitstep wouldn't have gone looking for her if he didn't have something important to tell her? She slowly turned around, tail swishing, and meowed as civilly as she could, "I'm here, Rabbitstep. What do you want to tell me?"OOC: Yes I know it's bad. x3

ooc; No, it was good! |3
"I'm here, Rabbitstep. What do you want to tell me?"
"Just to let you know, we're all going to meet back where we split up." Rabbitstep meowed, starting to turn back and head back to the moor when a thought struck him.
"You do know where that is at, right?"
ooc; o-o;;
THAT is bad. Sorry, I can't think of anything else. >.<
